How to Make More Coins When Buying in CityVille

In CityVille, a big part of your early game strategy revolves around expansion and making enough money to buy new land for your city to grow. Initially, your first trade transactions are done via Samantha. You can sell goods to her and you can buy goods too, to stock your franchises. This introduces you to the concepts of trade and prepares you for trading with friends.
When you buy goods from friends, it costs you coins. You obtain items that stock up your franchises, so that you can make more coins. There is also a timer that is present for each transaction. One of the important features in CityVille, is the ability to buy or sell from multiple friends at a time. The options are to buy from three, four, six, or eight friends at a time.
In the early stage of the game, you will be restricted to trading via railways. Once you expand to a waterway, you can start trading via shipping ports. When buying from multiple friends at a time via a train, you benefit in different ways, depending on the number of friends you buy from.
Buying from four friends at a time, brings in 87,5 items per friend. Buying from ten friends at a time, gets you 70 items per friend. Looking at the cost per item, buying from three friends at a time costs the least per item, at 3,7 coins per item. Buying from ten friends means the items cost  4,5 coins each.
In terms of transaction time, buying from 10 friends takes the longest time, at 48 hours total. The quickest transaction buying from three friends at a time, which only takes 4 hours – this translates to 1 hour and 20 minutes per friend, as opposed to 4 hours and 48 minutes per friend when choosing ten friends to buy from.
Buy carefully selecting how many friends you buy from at a time, you can maximize your profits every time you purchase in bulk.
