Bridge Building Guide



Once your city reaches 5,000 population or above, you will be able to begin building your bridge! Click the bridge quest icon to start!

Frequently Asked Questions

• Q: Do I have to buy an expansion on the river to build it?
  A: No, we will unlock a free expansion in the area where you place the bridge if you have not already expanded there.
  
• Q: If I have already expanded to the edge of the river, do I still get a free expansion?
  A: No. We can't unlock an area that has already been expanded into, but you get a free expansion on the other side of the river bank when your bridge is finished!
  
• Q: Can the bridge be placed anywhere on the river bank, or just in the area shown?
  A: Like most objects, the placement tool will go green when you can place it, but the bridge can only be placed in the area shown.
  
• Q: Can I build more than one bridge?
  A: No, bridge maintenance is expensive! (joke)
  
• Q: I finished the bridge, can I expand onto the beach?
  A: No, the beach is not currently available for expansion.

Step 1: Place Your Bridge

Reminder: If you have not expanded to the bridge placement area, we will expand there automatically, for free!



Click the 'Place' button and look for the placement guide that will show on your map, your bridge must be placed on solid ground!



Step 2: Gather Materials

Click on your bridge to bring up the Parts Menu.



Ways to Get Parts:

• Click 'Ask Friends' and choose from a list of friends to ask.
• Give and receive parts shown on the Free Gifts page.
• You can even use City Cash!

Once you have gathered all required materials, click 'Start Building'!

Step 3: Build Your Bridge!

Click your bridge to build it. You will see it being built as you progress!



Step 4: Your Bridge is Finished!

Once your bridge is built, Edgar will give you another free expansion on the other side of the river!
